Speak The Word of God Only And Get Results

Many of us talk about how broke we are or how sick we are; not realizing that the words that are coming out of our mouth is the root cause as to why we are still in the same situation.

Many of the afflictions plaguing Gods people are the results of the words we are speaking over our lives. The connection between what we say and what we have has not been established.

As Words

We all listen to commercials and read ads in newspapers. When we hear or read that a major appliance store is giving away free 40 inch screen televisions most of us would not question this. We would take this advertisement at its word. We would not question the person who wrote the ad nor would we call the store to see if this is true. Many of us base our actions on someone else's word. People act based on someone else's word without a hesitation.

If God says "by his stripes you are healed" or "I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in good health"; why do you not trust Gods Word? Many of us say we believe but doubt this in our heart. If his Word says these things then all you need to do is confess it, believe you have received it and act on it.

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof [Proverbs 18:21].

I've heard so many people say that the government is holding them back or they can not move ahead because somebody or someone is in their way. In reality, you are the only person that can hold you back. The words that you are speaking over your life are the cause of your problem. This will be a hard pill for most to swallow, but it is the truth.

God gave us the right to have what we say. His Word tells us to call things that be not as though they were. To call something means to speak it into existence.

His Words says if God be for us, who can be against us" [Romans 8:31].

We must learn to confess the Word of God over our situation. Everything Gods made on this earth was spoken (Book of Genesis). His Words moved things into existence. We are created in the image and likeness of God. His Word says: "the things that I do, you shall do also." Jesus understood this principle when he spoke to the fig tree and it obeyed his Him. When Jesus spoke to the storm, it obeyed Him. As a child of God you can also speak to your situation; say what God says and it must obey your words.

The increase or decrease in our lives starts with the words we speak. Find a scripture regarding your situation and learn to say what God says about it. Don't speak the problem. Speak the Word only.

I Will Not Talk In Class - How A 6 Word Sentence In My 5th Grade Class Gave Me Strength As An Adult

I will not talk in class. Write this sentence 100 times; it is due tomorrow! The homework assignment punishing my entire 5th grade class angered me. The teacher's stern words pierced my heart.

I remember thinking, "This is ridiculous to spend time after school writing a useless sentence." I realize now why I dreaded school; today it's called attention deficit disorder.

As Words

I spent many hours each night laboring over homework assignments. "How am I going to complete this stupid assignment in addition to my daily homework?" Internally, I protested the boondoggle assignment.

Little did I know that punishment in 5th grade would transform into a gift. After writing those 6 words 100 times, I learned how to memorize anything, although unapparent to that 5th grader.

It's true, "The weakest ink is more enduring than the strongest memory." I confess; today, I am thankful for that boondoggle assignment which gave me strength and a coping technique I used while waiting in the hospital.

My husband had successfully battled congestive heart failure for six years until a sudden and severe infection violently attacked his already weakened heart. After the fourth time in the hospital during a three month period, he was officially put on the heart transplant only eleven days after he was admitted.

While he fought for his life, I battled the silence and the waiting. I read magazines and newspapers. I listened and watched people. I prayed.

With the attention span of a gnat, I decided to memorize a Bible verse which had caught my eye as a car with a personalized license plate drove by. I was not familiar with the verse, "Rom. 15:13."

I counted the number of words in the verse, Romans 15:13, thirty-one words to be exact. "Not too many words; quick to write; at least it would keep my hands busy." I purchased a journal in the hospital gift shop and returned to the intensive care waiting room. I began writing the verse over and over again.

Imagine my surprise when the verse effortlessly spilled from my lips as I recited it to my daughter. "Mom, when did you learn that verse?" My response, "I've had a lot of time to wait, to think, and to write."

History and Meaning of the Word "Self Actualization" as Used in Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

History of the word "Self Actualization" as used in Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

What?

As Words

1. The term "Self Actualization" was created by Kurt Goldstein in 1940 and later widely used by Carl Rogers. The Self-Actualization as described in the hierarchy of needs is an ongoing process involved in a cause outside of his own skin. People on this level of Need, work at something very precious -- a vocation or a calling of sorts. As Maslow expressed it, "What a man can be, he must be."

A person at this level is constantly trying to maximize the potential of what is important to him at that time.

2. The way Self actualization is expressed can change over a person's life cycle. A self-actualized athlete may eventually look for other area in which to maximize potential as his or her physical attributes change over time or as his or her horizons broaden.

3. Maslow believes that anyone can momentarily become self-actualizers when he becomes "more truly himself, more perfectly actualizing his potentialities, closer to the core of his Being, more fully human."
In short, self-actualization is "a matter of degree and of frequency a kind of episode, or a spurt in which the powers of the person come together" in an extraordinary way.

How?

1. Maslow came to his conclusions by picking out a group of people, some historical figures, some people he knew, whom he felt clearly met the standard of self-actualization. Included in this august group were Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, Albert Einstein, Eleanor Roosevelt, Jane Adams, William James, Albert Schweitzer, Benedict Spinoza, and Alduous Huxley, plus 12 unnamed people who were alive at the time Maslow did his research.

2. He then looked at their biographies, writings, the acts and words of those he knew personally, and so on. From these sources, he developed a list of qualities that seemed characteristic of these people.

So What?

Maslow believe that B-cognition types of peak-experiences can furnish formulas and give a Objective Standard for Human Values. That means, Human Values are Objective instead of Relative.

Relative vs Objective

1. If the term "value" is intrinsically relational, a "value" cannot stand on its own but must be compared to something else. To use an analogy, if a value is a tree that falls in a forest when no one (not even a squirrel or a butterfly) is there to hear it, will there be any sound? If you think value is relative, then it you believe that the sound has to be heard by someone or something to be a "sound". Then clearly there will be no sound.

2. Thus, for an objective point of view, the sound is a sound even if no one hears it.
If self-actualizing people can and do perceive reality more efficiently, fully and with less motivational contamination than we others do, then we may possibly use them as biological essays.

We may also use ourselves in our most perceptive moments, in our peak- experiences, when, for the moment, we are self-actualizing, to give us a report of the nature of reality that is truer than we can ordinarily manage.

Thus, if we try to follow the examples of self-actualizers to develop qualities displayed by this objective value system, we can maximise our potential.

How to Spread God's Word and Why

How to spread God's word is a question that can be difficult sometimes if we don't have the true understanding of how we as Christians should go about it. Keep in mind what Paul said, "I will not ...speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me." Paul didn't place glory in what Christ had done for him, but in what Christ was doing through him. Now did you get the understanding of that?

Matthew 17:2-3 tells the story of the day that Jesus took his disciples to the top of the mountain where he was transfigured before them: "His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him." Peter was so caught up in this spectacular event that he wanted them all to stay there. In verse 4 of the same chapter he says "Lord it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."

As Words

As you read further into the chapter, you can see that Jesus thought it more important to continue ministering and spreading His Word. Verse 14 begins the story of the demon possessed boy who suffered severe seizures that Jesus healed. The message we can take from this story is that there are definitely rewarding experiences when following Jesus' teachings but you'll never reap those rewards if you don't put the work in and focus on the goal at hand, which is spreading the Word of God to everyone.

Now we all know, as followers of our Lord Jesus Christ that it is a great thing to have such a spectacular experience with our God and Father; but we also know that as followers of our Lord we can't stay there. We have a lot of work to do if we are going to follow in his footsteps, and we as Christians have been called to do it.

Now that we know our Lord works through us, we have become God's vessels by means of Paul's statement and it's time for us to open up our hearts and start spreading the word to others as those who approach us with God's word. Now that our lives were saved through Jesus Christ through the use of God's vessels we have become God's vessels. Now that we are God's vessels, is it not our duty to spread the word as those who approach us?

Take notice how Jesus' disciples followed him throughout his ministry and they all had a different point of view yet at the same time leading to God's message. Their story varied a little bit, but when you read all their stories, you'll discover that one story will help you to better understand the other. It is the same as when your reading passages in the Bible, one passage will help you to understand the other.

You see brothers and sisters, we are all unique individuals and we all have our own way of relating God's message. Since we are all unique in our own way, we are given a different point of view on scriptures. Now, because of our uniqueness, one individual will find passages that will lead to the understanding of another passage where another individual may be having a difficult time with that passage and that is where you come in.

The point I am trying to get across is this, we all have a knowledge of certain scriptures that can help others and at the same time others have knowledge of scriptures that can help us. Why is it like that? You will find that a lot of us have our special books in the Bible that we keep going back to over and over again and after a wile you start to specialize in that book. Because now you start focusing whenever you hear someone giving their point of view of scriptures that relate to that book. Then in turn , you go back and check it out, therefore giving you a better understanding. Therefore, by us all working together this will lead us to the true understanding of Gods knowledge and help us to grow stronger in God's word and at the same time we are showing others how to spread God's word.

Now that we are doing our part in spreading the word and giving people a better understanding of Gods knowledge, we are helping them to grow stronger. This is because they can now see all the great and true benefits as a result of following our Lord Jesus Christ. As they keep growing stronger in God's knowledge by Christ working through us (God's vessels) it won't be long before they to will start spreading God's word (and this would be a good thing in God's eyes.)

Now let us look at this to get the full understanding of what we are accomplishing by taking our part in spreading the word.

1. By us doing our part in spreading the word and opening up our hearts and allowing Jesus Christ our lord and Savoir to work through us, there are a lot of lives being saved just as we have been saved.

2. Through us spreading out our knowledge that we specialize in, you never know who will come across it and cause them to do a farther investigation and at the same time the Holy Spirit is pressing down on them.

3. Doing what we are supposed to be doing through passing along what we have learned so that others may also have this golden opportunity.

4. By us doing our part in spreading the word, we are not only doing our part, we are also showing others how to spread Gods word. Now stop and think for a moment and give this some serious thought. By us doing our part through showing others how to spread Gods word, if you use your imagination you will see how far this will branch out and it started from you.

What is imagination? Ability to visualize: the ability to form images and ideas in the mind, especially of things never seen or experienced directly. Does that sound familiar to you?

If it is in your heart to spread the word and you don't know how to spread God's word and want to reach out to many, than give the internet some serious thought by using it as your vehicle. Blogging ,writing articles, start an email newsletter, build a Christian website, these are all good ways to get the word out. And the best part about using these tools is that you can find them on the internet for free to low cost.

Horse Racing - Words From the Wise - A Review

Anyone who has been connected with Horse Racing for any length of time will have a bag full of stories to tell and advice to give. However, in this modern age we tend to dismiss the thoughts of the previous generation convinced we know best.

When I was at Primary school we had print of an man sitting on a wall pointing out to sea. At his feet sat two boys looking up to him with rather bored "heard it all before expressions. The picture was a copy of the famous "Boyhood of Raleigh" by Sir John Everett Millais. I was recently reminded of that picture when I was reading "Words from the Wise" a collection of the articles of "Fenman" taken from the Racing Ahead magazine.

As Words

"Fenman" began writing for Racing Ahead in September 2004 and wrote a monthly article until June 2010. The writer who is only known by his non de plume must be around 85 years old by now and has interested and involved in horse racing for over 60 years. All of the articles are full of interesting facts, thoughts and information and the book would be well worth its purchase price just for those. Yet "Words from the wise" contains something even more valuable than the articles.

Also in the paper back book you will find "Fenmans" Methods. These are basically simple micro systems that over the years have proved highly successful. The younger "seen it all, done it all" generation may well dismiss these as being too simple but they still work.

Here is an example of one of "Fenman's" methods for Handicap races. Look for any mounts of the top 3 jockeys at the meeting that are carrying less than 11 stone. If there is more than one qualifier back the mount of the jockey who has had most wins at the meeting. That is a very simple idea but at the time of writing the article that methods was showing a 67 points profit!

There are 30 of "Fenman's Methods" in the book and I am sure that many of them could easily have been sold as systems and cost considerably more than the £15 that the book costs. If you are interested in horse race betting and looking for an interesting read "Words from the wise" is the book for you. If you want a good collection of methods or systems that have stood the test of time then you should also grab the book while you can.

Why To Convert Word To PDF - 10 Advantages Of PDF Files

Since Adobe Systems introduced the PDF format in 1993 it has rapidly become the number one universal document format on the internet. Not without any reasons, as there is a growing demand for such a universal format to allow people to share their ideas and work digitally on the internet. The number of different software programs keeps on growing and growing, from fantastic organizers, spreadsheet programs, to photo editing software: they all tend to make our lives easier, but often forget one major point: the ability to allow the user to share his/her work! The so called web 2.0 is already a fact, and the internet is becoming a place of creating and sharing your own ideas and work.

The popular PDF format solved this problem by introducing itself as a system-wide universal format: almost anyone on any computer system is able to open a PDF file these days. People have clearly discovered some advantages of PDF files, but yet only a few are actively creating PDF files themselves. So why should you consider creating your own PDF documents? I present you the top 10 advantages of this widely popular format:

As Words

1. Compatible Across platforms From Windows, Mac, Linux, to even modern mobile phones and PDA's: PDF files can be opened on basically any system! You don't have to worry about your co-workers, students, family, or whomever you're sharing your work with, not being able to open your files. 2. Compact & Small When you convert an existing document to a PDF file, it will automatically be highly optimized making it much smaller in size without losing any quality. Note that you can often also combine and merge multiple documents into one single PDF: spreadsheets, word documents, photos, etc..: you can join them all together into a single PDF File! 3. Can be created from any source document/application The powerful technology behind the PDF format allows you to convert almost any document, from any application to a PDF file. With a decent PDF Creator your PDF file will just look like you printed your file on high quality paper. 4. Securable, avoid people from modifying & redistributing your work Protect your PDF File, and prevent users from printing, duplicating or even opening your work. The encrypted protection makes it possible to share your work, without having to worry about various doom scenarios. 5. Secure, almost no chance of getting infected with viruses. There's almost no chance of a PDF file getting infected with something like a virus or trojan, which makes it a safe and trusted way of sharing your work. 6. Easy and quick to create when using the right software You'll find a ton of different pdf conversion programs on the internet, one looking even more fancier than the other, with prices varying from to 00. Most of them are pretty easy to use though, and you'll usually be able to convert your documents to PDF in a few simple clicks. Choosing a good software solution is another story, but you can find some advice at my other PDF Creator article. 7. Software to view PDF Files is completely free Software like Acrobat Reader to open PDF Files can be downloaded for free, and is already installed on most computers. Often it will be installed in combinations with other software you bought on CD-Rom. (A lot of companies deliver their documentation as PDF files.) 8. Viewable within most web-browsers You're simply able to open and view PDF files in your favorite web-browser. You can simply click a link whenever someone links to a PDF file on a website, and the file will be opened automatically. 9. PDF Files meet legal document requirements. A document must be kept in a format that can't be changed or altered without leaving any footprints, if you want it to be admissible in a court of law. A created PDF file can't be altered, and usually meets these legal requirements. (Contact a legal advisor for more info.) 10. Compatible with modern portable reader systems This is a whole new but powerful phenomenon: various companies like Sony are working on digitally paper pads. These flat panels, not much larger than a regular book, allow you to upload your PDF files to the device, so you can read through the information like a normal book. Sounds like science fiction, but you can already buy these devices for +- 9. Prices are guaranteed to drop the coming years, and it's a great way to save literally heaps of paper!

Free PDF Conversion Method - Converting PDF From Word and Activating Hyperlinks

Almost every day, I see someone posting in the Internet Marketing forums throughout the net, "Hi, I am looking for good PDF converter that activates hyperlinks, is there a free one?"

These repeated posts demonstrate that new people online don't use search feature to look for such forum posts. Hence here is the step by step instruction.

As Words

1. Visit OpenOffice.org and download Open Office suite.

2. After downloading and installing, open Writer within the suite.

3. From within Writer, which looks exactly like Microsoft Word, open any one of your existing Word doc on your computer.

4. Click on PDF feature built within Writer (this feature is standard with Open Office Writer), then save document as.pdf format.

There you have it. You didn't realize how easy this could be accomplished, did you? Alternatively, you may start a new document with Writer and save as PDF file directly instead of first creating a file from Word doc.

Other alternatives include purchasing PDF converter online. However, you'll probably find Open Office Writer easy to use. For some reason, number of PDF converters online save hyperlinks as image and this prevents their versions of PDF from activating hyperlinks.

Paid PDF converters become useful if you need to add advanced security feature, unlock PDF and convert it back to Word or conduct markup etc.

However, for average Internet Marketers to simply upload and save as PDF, these types of tools become unnecessary. There you have step by step instruction on converting PDF as well as activating PDF hyperlinks.

Christian Words of Encouragement - Do You Need Them?

Life can be hard. You know Jesus has saved you and is working in you, but what about the practical side of living the victorious life day to day? For example, as a Christian are you perplexed as to why you experience so much fear with all you know about the delivering power of Christ? Are you in the midst of a trial and just want to be reminded that you are not alone? Are you seeking encouragement to help you get out of bed in the morning and "do life" another day? Are you afraid you do not have the strength to persevere?

Don't worry, you are not alone! These are all real issues for all followers of Christ. We are all basically the same inside and have the same hurts, fears, and challenges...and we were never meant to fight the struggles of life on our own. Sometimes when our own faith seems weak, we need to "borrow" the faith of another person who has come through our struggles and has seen the Lord's faithfulness.

As Words

It is important that we do not isolate ourselves from other trusted Christians. There will most likely be times of discouragement for all of us, and we need a Christian brother or sister to speak to us those precious words of Christian encouragement. If you are especially isolated for some reason, consider some careful searching on the Internet to find the Christian encouragement and fellowship you need at any time of the day or night.

Each of us can move toward more spiritual freedom and joy as we share Christian words of encouragement with each other. Often the insight of a fellow follower of Jesus will be just the nugget of truth we need on a given day. And we are reminded we are not alone.

Japanese Words

Most people know that geisha, kimono and haiku are Japanese words, but did you know that typhoon, tsunami and tofu are also Japanese words? Here are a few other Japanese words we hear in our everyday lives: shiitake, karate, karaoke and Pokemon. Let's have a look at the meanings of these words.

Japanese is called an agglutinating language because new expressions can be made by connecting existing language elements together. Japanese is written using kanji and each kanji represents one or more ideas. Thus Japanese nouns are often created by putting two or more kanji together and the new word's meaning is related to the combination of these meanings.

As Words

Tsunami for example is written with the kanji for harbor and waves, tsu and nami since in the past the waves arrived without warning and did most damage in harbors.

Another natural force, the typhoon, is also made with two kanji. This is pronounced taifuu in Japanese and is written with kanji for tai and fuu. The first kanji means standing and the second means wind. Despite having high wind speeds, typhoons travel quite slowly so the meaning can be imagined from the combined elements - a typhoon is a wind that seems to stands in one place for a long time.

Typhoons can be very destructive and every year thousands of trees are toppled by them. It's not all bad news though because typhoons can lead to fresh, wild shiitake mushrooms! In the wild, shiitake mushrooms are generally found on the decaying trunks of fallen Japanese oaks. Shii-take literally means oak-mushroom. Take means mushroom and shi is a type of Japanese tree related to oak trees.

Here's another food from decay - tofu. Tofu breaks down into tou-fu meaning beans-rot. It might not sound appetising but tofu is actually soured soy-bean milk so "bean rot" is a pretty accurate description.

Tofu can be part of a healthy lifestyle and doing karate can really improve your fitness too. As a pure martial art, karate has the meaning of empty-hand. "Kara" means empty and "te" means hand.

The kara in karaoke also means empty but "oke" is a Japanese abbreviation of "orchestra". So karaoke means empty-orchestra. It might seem a strange name to English speakers but the idea seems to fit - an orchestra without humans.

Pokemon is our last example. Foreign words are often absorbed into the Japanese language and reused in strange and unfamiliar ways, like the word orchestra in karaoke. Pokemon comes from POcKEt-MONster.

I hope this article has helped you make a little more sense of Japanese words and made learning Japanese seem a little less monstrous!

Inspirational Words

Psychologists believe that our capacity as human beings depends on what our minds truly believe to be possible. "It is all in the mind", as they say. In order to show how simple this idea is, a concrete example may serve to illustrate it. Two students, without their knowledge, were subjected to an experiment. Both were of the same grade level, age, and nationality. They were instructed to take a long jump activity as part of a physical education class. Girl 2 was shorter than girl 1. It was expected that the shorter girl would initially feel hopeless because of the obvious size advantage of the other girl so, without receiving any motivation inspiring words from her coach, trial 1 was allowed to begin. As was expected from trail 1, the shorter girl lost by a distance of around 5 inches.

Trial 2 followed immediately after trial 1. With some proper coaching and motivational words this time, the shorter girl won by 1.5 inches! How did this happen? It happened because the power of belief and attitude. What happened exactly was that an explanation about the height advantage of the girl was re-contextualized for the shorter girl. She was told that she actually had an even advantage with the taller girl because of her lighter weight. When she saw the taller girl as being "heavier" than her, it was enough motivation to inspire the shorter girl to focus on her own strengths and to use them to win. It is all in the way you look at it.

As Words

Inspirational words can totally change the direction of our lives. We often see life as a scary place with dangers around every corner. We may not even recognize the fact that many of our fears are hidden inside us and controlling us at every turn. Others, on the other hand, may see life as a series of opportunities to challenge themselves because they have overcome these hidden fears and opened themselves up to a world of extra energy that was also hidden inside them but covered and stifled by the fears that surrounded it. It does not take a major change in many cases to alter the direction of your ship. One small turn on the wheel can eventually result in a completely different section of the globe that you will sail to! As soon as you change one of your coordinates, the direction of your entire life will also change. You will begin to see everything around you as reflecting of this new change and it will provide you with even more inspiration to try even greater things.

Inspirational words can really be found everywhere. It is just a matter of being able to see them. From our homes, our schools to our workplace, there are opportunities to find inspirational words. From the movies we watch, the books we read, the music we listen to and the people we talk to every single day of our lives, we can be inspired to do great things. These are words, which may just be simple words, can hit the deepest part of our souls and awaken us to be reminded of the true essence of who we are. From there we will find ourselves capable of living our lives more peacefully and more harmoniously with others.

Next time you think about where you want to find some inspirational words, just look inside yourself and ask yourself what is stopping you from picking up one of the thousands of books out there that teach the most simple truths of all. What is holding you back from making a commitment to read just five or ten pages a day to improve your life? The inspiration is deep inside yourself and the words that you are looking for outside are only a means to help you find that place inside that you already had to begin with. The greatest inspirational words there are those that will come right out of your own heart and mind. They will be the ones that bring you to make a change and to reach for the stars.

Words With Z In Them

The main reason most people are interested in learning a list of words that includes the letter Z is for use in one of the popular word games like Scrabble. Z is one of the most challenging letters in the English language to use because it just isn't in that many words. Most good players memorize a list of words so they can use them when they need to.

In addition to learning a list of words, it is always useful to know the short ones first. This is because in many games you only have a certain number of letters to work with. Memorizing 2 letter, 3 letter and 4 letter words is the best place to start. Here is some more information so you can get started right away. Before you know it you will impress your friends with your new expanded vocabulary.

As Words

At this time there is exactly one two-letter word that is legal to use in Scrabble that has a Z in it. The word is Zo and it is a certain breed of cattle. In some word games you may also be able to use Oz, like in the Wizard of Oz, but it isn't usable in all games. Just this one word can be the difference between winning and losing, so it is pretty important. There is almost always an O available on the board so keep an eye out the next time you have a Z.

Popular 3 letter words include the following. Adz, Azo, Biz, Coz, Fez, Fiz, Lez, Wiz, Zag, Zap, Zax, Zed, Zee, Zek, Zig, Zin, Zip, Zit, Zoa and Zoo. As you can see many of these can be almost as useful as Zo. It is not an overwhelming list and with a little effort you should be able to memorize it in a short time. If you are having trouble learning this or any other list, break it down into smaller parts and just learn a few at a time.

There are also quite a few 4-letter words available for use. Here is a short list of some of them. It is not a complete list. If you are looking for a complete list they can be easily found by searching on the Internet. Popular four letter words include Bozo, Buzz, Daze, Doze, Faze, Fizz, Fuze, Gaze, Haze, Hazy, Lazy, Maze, Nazi, Ooze, Putz, Raze, Ritz, Size, Zany, Zips and Zone. If you memorize these lists you will only need to read back over them every once in a while to keep them fresh in your mind.

Indian Words in the Latin American Spanish Vocabulary

One of the differences to be aware of between the Spanish spoken in Spain and that of Latin America is that the latter has taken in quite a few words from the American Indian languages.

Some of those words -- tomate, for example (English tomato) -- have become part of the universal Spanish lexicon, but many remain localized to particular Spanish-speaking countries in the Americas.

As Words

In particular, a large number of words in Mexican Spanish come from the Nahuatl language that still persists, to some degree, in the northern part of that country. You may therefore hear some of these words being used in Mexico and nowhere else.

A few of the ones you are more likely to encounter include chapulin (grasshopper), cenzontle (mockingbird), amate (a type of fig), camote (sweet potato), ejotes (green beans), zacate (grass), atole (a drink made from corn

meal), chicle (chewing gum), cajeta (caramelized milk), mecate (rope), comal (a flat pan), jacal (shack), naco (a crude or uncultured person), and papalote (kite).

Of course there are some words that have entered our own language from Spanish, that were also originally Indian words. These include (giving their English spelling here) iguana, cocoa, hurricane, barbecue, hammock, tobacco, papaya, canoe and potato.

If you are learning Spanish, the presence of American Indian words will add a new and interesting wrinkle to your efforts. Be on the lookout for these American "adoptees" as you learn to discern the differences between European Spanish and the tongue as spoken in the Western Hemisphere.

How to Cope As a Caregiver: Words of Encouragement and Compassion

How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these. ~George Washington Carver

You should realize that the articles I write are often printed in blood, so to speak. Today's is no exception. I need my own advice. Let me explain...

As Words

I lost it; I really lost it this morning. Uncontrollable tears. Piles of tissues. I just couldn't get myself under control. The stress of being an end-time caregiver was taking its toll. I tried to keep myself together for my husband's benefit. This morning, it didn't work.

Being a caregiver is possibly the most stressful, difficult position a person can fill. As we try to function in love and compassion, we also must cope with the negative emotions: guilt, anger, resentment, fear and grief. Not to mention extreme fatigue. All while providing the level of care that a loved one needs.

Now, on to my story. Since I'm being honest, I have to admit that sometimes I don't follow my own advice. Sometimes, life gets to me and I lose it, too.

I guess what I'm trying to tell you is that you - and I - won't always get it right. But... we can keep trying.
I'm much better this evening - my emotions are under control again. I'm back in caregiver mode. Our patient has pulled back from the brink - again - and so we continue. Meals, meds, compassionate care. I'm back to what matters most: giving not selfishness, love not resentment, peace not turmoil.

The role of caregiver is challenging, frustrating and rewarding moment-by-moment. I'm sure that Jesus must have said, 'blessed are the caregivers for they shall find strength'. I know that was true with my mom almost a decade ago. I know, deep down, that it's true now. No matter what, we find the inner resources - and sometimes, just sheer grit - to keep going, to take care of what matters most.

It's hard for our minds to relax and simply attend the present moment. We anticipate, regret, wonder (when, if, why) and dread. It's all those emotions that cause the most pain and anguish, not misfortune itself. When the moment comes - whatever our 'moment' is - we are often better able to deal with it than we anticipated.

So, no matter what you face this week, remember that you can cope. You're stronger than you think you are. And you can get back up and keep trying. There are no innings in this game of Life. Just keep swinging until you win! God has declared you victorious - no matter what you're dealing with. Remember, He and I pray for your peace, joy, blessing and strength to overcome whatever challenges you.

Don't anticipate grief. Stay in the moment. Enjoy the time you have. Talk, Laugh. Be. Sleep well (when you can!), knowing that you are giving the most precious gift of all - yourself.

Writing a 250 Word Article is Like Taking a Flight From Philadelphia To, Well, Philadelphia

Start articles strong. Stay strong. End strong.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the Captain has informed me that we are #1 for takeoff. Oh, and he also has alerted the flight crew that we are cleared for final landing. So you know what to do with your tray tables..."

As Words

The fact is that two hundred and fifty words is not a lot of time AT ALL.

As a full-fledged article writer, you do not have the luxury of back-story or foreshadowing etc. You do not have 'novelist time' or 'screenwriter time.' You have news snippet on the eleven o'clock news time. So you need to start these babies strong and keep them strong.

Resist the urge to keep looking down at the word count to make sure that you are approaching your conclusion smoothly. Let the importance and boldness of your early thoughts keep your article in flight...throughout its entire flight. For just two hundred and fifty of these words things, that should pose absolutely no difficulty.

I realize that I'm leaning rather heavily on the flight metaphor, but it serves a nice purpose. The same way it takes engines to lift that huge craft into the sky is the same force necessary to start and continue great articles. *Hmmmm. Engines.*

Start articles strong and there's no 'lag time.' You won't find yourself pointing to a flow of logic that 'gets your reader there.' Starting articles strong allows you, as a author, to substantiate as opposed to titillate.

Should you ALWAYS construct your articles this way?

Absolutely not.

In fact, you need an barrage of weapons in your writers toolbox. And you need to use them in rotation. Keep your readers involved (and guessing and entertained) by mixing things up. Become the kind of author that you like to read.

Start articles strong. And keep them at cruising altitude. Do that every time you write an article, and you become an airline owner.

3 Seductive Bedroom Words and Action

Do you know that before your woman can say 'thank you" to you in bed that means you must have given her a sweet time during your love making? Okay let me say this- do you also know that there are people like you out there that used to experience frustration during love making?

When you talk seductively to your partner in bed, it takes your woman to another realm of sexual cloud to giving your partner an orgasm that she deserves. When you seduce your wife with romantic words in bed you make the road to pleasure smooth and clear.

As Words

Here are the tips to seduce your partner in bed:

1. When you lightly whisper to your partner that she smells good. You make her feel happy about herself and it makes her submit to you. You do this by being very close to her, holding her close to you [really smell her to confirm this to her],

let her see you close your eyes in appreciation to what you are perceiving. This action will trigger some romantic emotions from her that will make the night pleasurable to the both of you.

2. Tell her how beautiful her breasts are. Make sure you say this slowly and convincingly and your eyes fixed to her breast. Look at those breast like you're hungry to touch them.Their is no action that spur a woman to react spontaneously to you making her feel lovely and making her know she is a complete woman.

This words as simple as they sound can work magic on the psyche of any woman when both of you are alone in the bedroom

3. Tell her her panties are very sexy. You just don't say this you act it! This is what you should do:

Caress your hand all over her back, with her still putting on her panties.

Tell her she looks sexy with the panties on, that the panties feel soft and smooth on your skin. Make her believe that you mean what you are saying. Be sincere with your compliments. When she sees the look in your eyes like you want to devour everything about her, you will bring out from her a feeling that both of you can't help but enjoy.

To make it more romantic you have to pull the panties off her legs. You only do this because you want your fingers to touch and run through, and very softly against her body. Do this and a pleasure night is guaranteed.

Warning: make sure you are up to it when you get to the next stage. You cannot tease a woman to this stage and left her disappointed during sex. Get full control of your body and that of your partner.
